Non-Traditional School Portraits

My aim is to have fun with your child and bring out who they really are through easy interaction. Kids are my very favorite subjects because they are not afraid to be themselves. You will receive genuine images of your children rather than the forced "say cheese" grins you've probably grown accustomed to.

How Does it All Work?

Approximately 2 weeks after picture day, each family receives an email with a link to the online gallery. Each child will have their own album in the gallery containing approximately 3-5 edited images. Prints are ordered directly from the gallery and payments are made there, as well. Orders will be delivered to the school.

Prior to picture day, the school will receive information to pass along to parents to help them prepare. In this information, they will receive detailed instructions on ordering procedures and available products.

Is there any up front cost?

No. Your only cost is through online ordering after picture day.

Yes. If the school is okay with it, I am happy to provide an image of your children together.

Do you use artificial light?

No. I will need to use a window to utilize natural light. Natural light is my specialty and I can always make it work.

How does the school benefit?

The school receives an online gallery with all edited images at no cost. These images can be downloaded and used for yearbooks, website, and school advertising.

I also take pictures of staff and teachers on picture day for no charge.

I handle all questions and concerns from parents regarding ordering prints, etc.

What packages do you offer and are they expensive?

I offer a variety of collections which include prints and digital images. Collections range from $25-$75. My prices are similar, if not cheaper than what you pay for traditional school photos.

Do you do retakes?

Yes. I arrange one retake day with the school.

Can I see a detailed list of your collections and prices?

Yes! Here is a link to the print collections.

If you’d like to see these portraits offered at your child’s school, talk to the administrators and pass this page along to them. I would love to work with your school!

Documentary Day in the Life

This is a great way to get an inside view on a typical day of school. I come hang out for the day and capture students and teachers in their own environment. It is a win-win situation for both parents and schools. Parents love having access to everyday life pictures of their children and the schools have an opportunity to show what a school day looks like to prospective families. It is also a great way for the kids to grow comfortable with me so that when it is time for school portraits they do not view me as a stranger, but a friend.
