Looking out over Sault Saint Marie, Ontario, before hitting the road for Barrie, Ontario. It was such a gorgeous drive and we all agreed we love Canada!
The famous Niagara Falls! There were so many people everywhere that our kids felt a little overwhelmed. It was definitely worth seeing, but we didn't hang around as long as we would have liked due to the crowds.
We canceled our camping reservations and rented a VRBO cabin on the Cedar River at Indian Lake instead, due to weather. It felt so incredible to be under the roof of a cozy home with a kitchen after being on the road for over a week. Our whole family needed the rest and relaxation and we couldn't have asked for a better cabin or a better location in the Adirondacks.
Our morning view. Did I mention we loved this place?!
It rained all day off and on and I figured we needed to document the car and trailer that hauled us and all of our stuff a total of 2,000+ miles one way to North Carolina. So thankful we had no car or trailer issues the entire trip!
So glad my husband made me take this picture with my tripod. We were getting ready to jump into the car and leave the Adirondacks after packing up the cabin. I was frustrated and tossed aside my dream of getting a pic of all of us due to time constraints (we are never on time for anything), but he wouldn't let me toss it aside. Instead, he said, "None of us are getting into the picture unless you do, too." Thank you, Jared, for knowing just what I need.
We stopped in Wilson, NC to see Gran-Gran's grave. The kids and I had never been and I am so glad we did it. It was important for them to feel the weight of the loss their Dad still carries with him daily. They were so sweet with him and just surrounded him with love. We look forward to the day we are all reunited. Come, Lord Jesus.
